Samphire

This weekend we popped out for a sneaky Samphire forage down at Crow Point. One of our guests had spotted this succulent herb growing on the estuary and obviously we couldn't resist the opportunity to collect a little for ourselves. The children were wondering about happily in the mud whilst Soph and I snipped off some of the delicate stems, leaving the roots firmly in the sand - more for later. It is delicious with fresh local fish and is growing locally.
