A new girl in town

Curious Ilfracombe continues to charm us with  its new harbourside resident. Damien Hurst's recent loan of a 25 tonne bronze sculpture has created a swell of media interest and attracted many visitors and tourists to the seaside town.  Being half term this week we decided a visit  to see her was worthwhile and this could be combined with lunch and an ice cream.In his cafe there is a much smaller version of the bronze, without sword or scales, which is striking but not overpowering. Verity however is massive, and bless her, somewhat grotesque. Ilfracombe never disappoints us and we shall return to see Verity, and I am sure our opinions of her will change and weather with time.
