Braunton Flooded

   Heavy rain fell on Braunton throughout the night and the Caen could no longer contain itself. The village centre is under water, flooding shops, cafes and homes. So dissappointing, on the Saturday before Christmas; traditionally one of the busiest days in the village. The A361 from Barnstaple was closed and Croyde is fairly well isolated as the Saunton Road is also deep in the wet stuff.The log fire is burning at Silver Cottage HQ and the Aga is doing us proud drying our clothes, thankfully we are cosy and warm.Merry Christmas everybody!
