Summer is here!

The school term is finally over and we are in the holiday mood which has been massively helped by the weather we have had today; we woke up to a clear blue sky and after our walking guests had left, and we had tidied up, we  headed to the beach to putter about in the rock pools with the kids. The swell at Saunton sands was apparent, but not available to us as the children were busy excavating and moving masses of sand with very small plastic spades. Braunton farmers market was in full swing in the parish hall today. It is always bursting with local produce at very reasonable prices, squeaky fresh vegetables and fudge to die for.At the end of another busy day we sat in the garden watching the sun go down over the hill with a bottle of fizz, to celebrate the beginning of a exciting time.
